Change Management

A quick outline to help you think through things when you are considering making changes in your organization:

  1. What measurable result/benefit will happen for the customer (internal customer or external customer)?
  2. How will the customer know and/or feel the result/benefit?
  3. What is the timetable for the change?
  4. What are the costs for the change (emotional, behavior, systems, financial, etc.)?
  5. Who has prime accountability for the change/who is the change leader?
  6. Who will support the change leader?
  7. What are the risks of the change -- does the return on the costs of change warrant the risk?
