5 Principles of World-Class Training

Evaluate all the training being done within your organization against the following 5 things:

  1. All training must cause positive behavior on the job.
  2. Through the positive behavior change, reach a higher level of competitive service and competitive quality .... Are you serving the customer better than anyone else and at the right quality level?
  3. Training without testing for knowledge gained is a waste of time. Make it mandatory that the training be used on-the-job for the next 30 to 45 days .... hands-on skill builder & practice on the job.
  4. Prime responsibility for training results is with management, and it should be tied to their bonus.
  5. For every $1.00 of training, demand no less than $3.00 payoff every 12 months.
